Intensive Courses Available
At SDF we specialise in providing intensive driving courses for our learner drivers. In our experience we have found that our intensive courses can offer a more effective route to getting your driving licence where you have some driving experience .
What Actually is an Intensive Course?
An intensive course of driving lessons is simply a quicker route to getting your driving licence. Instead of doing the standard 1 or 2 lessons a week, you will complete your lessons over a much reduced period of time (for example, 3 hours a day).
The primary benefits of doing an intensive course includes saving money and progressing through the tuition at an increased speed because there aren’t gaps between your lessons ensuring that you don’t forget as much.
Pass Plus Course Available
Pass Plus is an established training course aimed at new drivers. It was designed by the Driving Standards Agency (DSA) with the help of insurers and the driving instruction industry.
Statistics show that new drivers are more likely to have an accident in the first two years after passing their test, due to lack of driving experience.
Pass Plus builds on your skills and knowledge. It will teach you how to anticipate, plan for and deal with all kinds of hazards, to help you become a more confident driver.
You can take a Pass Plus course at any time, but it’s mainly aimed at new drivers in the first year after passing their test.
Pass Plus consists of six modules about driving in different conditions:
- in town
- in all weathers
- on rural roads
- at night
- on dual carriageways
- on motorways
