One of Britain’s most careless drivers has been jailed after being caught driving eighty times while disqualified.
Paul Heard, 54, was once again caught behind the wheel by officers despite his string of previous convictions and bans.
The serial offender drove a Jaguar X-Type into a herd of deer in the early hours of April 1 on the southbound carriageway of the A11, near Mildenhall, Suffolk.
He reported the collision to police, who arrived to find he had been driving while disqualified and without insurance.
Heard, of Trory Street, Norwich, has now racked up more than 65 convictions for 325 offences in total, including 80 offences of driving whilst disqualified.
